Squats Again?!?!?!?
So the question has been asked before to several of the
coaches in the gym: Squats again?!
We are aware that years of misinformation on the effects of
weight training (especially on females) may make you a little hesitant about
loading the bar and going for it. Well, rest assured that we wouldn’t ask you
to do anything unless we knew it would make you better, faster & stronger.
I could spend the rest of this post telling you about the
testosterone response that will make you more muscular & lean, the overall strength
you will develop, or how the squat is the epitome of functional exercises. I could do that or just show you the next
video.
We hope everyone takes the test in the near future.

ReplyDeleteDay 3 of Paleo extreme: Believe it or not, I'm craving fruit and not chocolate or bread. My mood swings are better today. Apologies again to all of the people in my path of destruction yesterday. Hoping tomorrow will be even better. Getting my water in and my sleep but keep forgetting my fish oil. Wod today was good. Thanks to Carrie, Cindy and Kent :)
Better on water today and am dying to have more chocolate than my small piece of sanity chocolate. But I won't - have to fight the urge to break into the Easter candy (thanks mom....) wod at 5:30 and did 21 double unders in a row!!!! I shocked myself :)

ReplyDeleteGot my first double under this morning, always a great feeling to hit a crossfit milestone! Learned that I can't buy chocolate almond butter, couldn't stay out of it and ended throwing the jar away... a little too late unfortunately. Other than that my food was good, didn't drink enough water though. See you in the AM.

Pretty good day. I think the gym was magical today!! I saw Leonor get her first no band pull-up and Christi and Nicole get their first double unders!! Not to mention what all the other athletes did today that i didn't see!! Love it!! I had some of Jeremy's carnitas for dinner--yummy! I even had some of Mel's paleo cereal for a snack today--that was yummy too! I did have my cheat this evening. Back on track in the a.m.!

Water, vitamins, and food all good. Carnitas delish all these good recipes make it easy to stay on track. Congrats to everybody who got there first today. I see everyone hitting little mile stones its AWESOME :-) Great job everyone!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteCasey and i stuck to the diet. We went to the 630 wod. It was my first wod in a week and I lost my voice after for an hour. That's what I get. At least I'm getting better at double unders. Casey promises he's going to see a doctor for his shoulder again ...some day.
ReplyDeleteRan in the morning and did the wod in the afternoon. I was trying to stay away from the paleo "treats" for awhile, but my daughter made coconut milk icecream tonight, and I HAD to have some. After not having sugar in almost a month, it was VERY sweet, almost too sweet, which was good.
